Proposals to review cooperation with Lviv (Lwów) have been raised in Przemyśl (Przemyśl). The debate concerns the Lviv Regional Council's decision on historical commemorative dates for 2027.
Similar issues have previously been raised in other Polish cities. However, an individual politician's statement, a proposal to suspend contacts and the formal termination of a partnership are different stages. An announcement of intent does not mean that all agreements have already been cancelled.
The practical consequences depend on the documents adopted by the municipal authorities and the programmes they cover. Cultural, educational and municipal projects should not automatically be considered discontinued on the basis of a political debate alone.
