Police in Tczew (Tczew) are investigating a fraud involving people posing as police officers. According to investigators, a 92-year-old resident was persuaded to hand over savings of 110 thousand złoty. Suspects aged 16 and 21 were detained in connection with the case.
A juvenile court decided on measures for the minor, who was temporarily placed in a specialised institution. The adult was charged with fraud and remanded in custody for two months. Investigators are also examining a possible link to an incident in Kraków (Kraków), where a victim lost 25 thousand złoty.
Police officers do not demand that people hand over cash for a secret operation, leave money in a hiding place or transfer it to a supposedly protected account. If you receive such a call, end the conversation and contact the police independently, without using contact details supplied by the caller.
