A dangerous incident occurred on 26 October at a level crossing on Lutycka Street (Lutycka) in Poznań (Poznań). A tractor unit hauling a tanker entered the tracks when there was insufficient space beyond the crossing to keep moving.

After the barriers came down, the driver managed to leave the tracks before the train arrived. Part of a barrier was damaged in the process. According to the report on the investigation, the man later went to a police station himself.

Police are examining the road safety risk; reports said the driver's licence had been seized and the case referred for further proceedings. The key danger in such situations is entering a crossing without being able to clear it completely, even when no train is yet visible ahead.
