Police received reports of a man swinging an ax in the (Wybrzeże Gdańskie) Gdansk Embankment area in Warsaw (Warszawa). The description was passed on to patrols, and investigators examined surveillance camera footage.
A police officer on his way to work noticed a similar man on public transport. He followed him and called a patrol to Alyuzyinaya Street (Aluzyjna) in the Byalolenka area (Białołęka).
The detainee is 31 years old. More than two ppm of alcohol was reported and a charge of endangering life or causing grievous bodily harm was reported. The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the prosecutor's office; the final legal assessment falls within the competence of the court.
