On October 16, the premiere of “Mothers of Kherson” (Chersoń) took place on the stage of the National Opera in Warsaw (Warszawa). The plot is dedicated to Ukrainian women who are trying to return children taken away by the Russian side.
The music was written by Maxim Kolomiets, the libretto by George Brant. The project involves conductor Keri-Lynn Wilson and director Barbara Vysotskaya. Partners include Warsaw's Teatr Wielki – Opera Narodowa and Metropolitan Opera.
The poster listed Warsaw shows on October 23, 25 and 27, followed by a New York show (Nowy Jork) in April 2028. Current dates, lineup of performers and availability of tickets must be checked against theater posters.
