The investigation began after an incident on 19 October in Zielonki (Zielonki), near Kraków (Kraków). A burning Lexus was found at the scene, along with a man whose behaviour drew witnesses' attention. Responding officers detained him after he tried to flee and resisted arrest.
Investigators say the car belonged to a customer of a workshop in Kraków, from which it had been taken without permission. Substances identified as methamphetamine were also seized; investigators are examining their possession and alleged preparation for distribution.
The suspect faces six charges, including taking and destroying the vehicle, drug offences and damaging police vehicles. The court ordered three months of pre-trial detention. These measures concern an ongoing investigation and do not replace a final determination of guilt.
