The police account and what remains unknown

Police detained a 30-year-old man outside the Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw (Warszawa). WP and Rzeczpospolita, citing the Warsaw police, reported that the incident occurred at about 11:00 on 31 October 2026.

According to the police account, an organiser asked a man wearing a balaclava to uncover his face. He struck the woman and attempted to flee. People attending the gathering tried to restrain him, before police officers detained him.

Police said they found a knife, a gas-powered pellet pistol, a Security badge resembling a police badge in shape, and drugs. These details represent the police account; detention does not in itself amount to a criminal conviction.

The checked reports do not establish a political affiliation, a motive for the assault or a final legal classification. They provide no basis for presenting the detainee as a proven participant in an organised provocation.
