A decision is distinct from delivery
On 29 October 2026, Rzeczpospolita reported a decision to transfer two MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine, citing defence strategy and planning director Dariusz Łukowski.
On 30 October, Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said the aircraft were no longer useful to Poland’s military because their service life had expired. The PAP report published by Bankier updates the context of earlier assessments of their technical condition.
The transfer decision does not establish that the aircraft have arrived in Ukraine. The verified reports do not specify an exact delivery date or automatically settle the future of Poland’s remaining MiG-29 aircraft.
