An ongoing investigation

On 30 October 2026, Poland’s Central Cybercrime Bureau announced two further arrests in an international organised-crime investigation. The Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Olsztyn supervises the case.

According to the bureau, victims’ losses exceed PLN 20 million. Investigators describe bank impersonation, phishing links and fake investment platforms. The figure is an estimate of losses rather than an amount of money already recovered.

Hundreds of suspects have been charged across the investigation. A court remanded the latest detainees in custody. Remand is a preventive measure during proceedings, not a conviction; individual criminal responsibility remains to be determined.
